How do I stop mobile phone sales calls to my UK landline & mobile?

1. register with the telephone preference service. companies are required by law to not call anyone who is registered with them. www.tpsonline.org.uk
2. next time you get a sales call, ask them where they got your number from. They have to tell you by law. You can then write to the company and demand to be taken out of their directory- by law they have to do this. BT can also give you advice on how to stop this.Also, ask them if you can stop receiving calls from witheld numbers- most sales people use these. Also go ex-directory and never put your phone number on surveys and applications for things. I never get anymore sales calls.
