What are the benefits of having a 3G phone?

Currently I have a 3G GSM connection and a Nokia 6280(which has 3G) But what can I do now? My phone doesnt have WiFi. Whats the specialty of having 3G?

1. If you get a data plan, you can access the internet fairly quickly and you can be on the internet and talk on the phone at the same time.
2. If you need internet in mobile, then you need 3G features .... aagh I feel they are still heavy on pocket around here :(
